NORTHCREST SWIM CLUB RULES
The following is the set of operating rules for Northcrest Swim Club. These rules reflect the majority opinion of the Board of Directors, in conjunction with applicable Salt Lake City and County regulations. Our goal is to provide all members the best possible experience, while maintaining the neighborhood culture of the pool and operating the pool in a safe and fiscally responsible manner.
GENERAL: Be respectful. Northcrest is a shared resource. It is NOT a service you pay for. Members are active participants in a joint effort to make this a great place to enjoy our summers. Please be respectful to guards, staff, and other members.
HEALTH MANDATES: Northcrest’s operating license requires adhering to municipal, county, and state policy and mandates.
SIGN-IN/REGISTER: All persons using the Northcrest Swim Club must be named members or guests. All users must sign in.
CHILDREN/MINORS
– Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children who cannot swim must be within arms reach. Children in diapers must wear swim diapers while in the pool.
– Minors 13 years and older may use the facility when lifeguards are present.
– No one under 16 may be in the water without a lifeguard present.
SWIMMING/POOL AREA
– Use the facilities at your own risk
– No running on decks, pushing people into the pool, or other rough play
– USCG-approved flotation and safety devices only, with the exception of “noodles”. No other flotation devices are allowed.
– Only one diver on the diving boards at a time
– Persons with skin infections or communicable diseases may not swim
– No food within 3 feet of the pool area. Please use the picnic tables provided
– No smoking. No alcohol.
– No glass containers anywhere on the pool deck or BBQ pit area
– No pets on the pool deck or BBQ pit area
– No music through speakers. Please use headphones/earbuds
– No bikes on deck. Please use the bike rack
– Lifeguards are in charge
– The pool manager’s ruling on pool policy is final
– Members are expected to share awning areas, umbrellas, and chairs
– No one may enter restricted areas without authorization
GUESTS
– The guest fee is $5.00 per person to be paid prior to or at the time of use.
– Guests must be accompanied at ALL TIMES by a named member and must observe all pool rules.
– If lanes are full during lap swim, a member should share their lane with their guest.
– More than 12 guests requires a minimum of 72 hours advance notification with the pool manager.
MEMBERSHIPS/OPERATION
– Membership is available to persons living within a 20 mile radius of Northcrest Swim Club
– Membership requires an initial membership fee (currently $2400) and annual dues. Members vote at annual membership meetings and serve on the Board.
— Memberships may be transferred or sold. The transfer fee is $500.
— Annual dues are established by the Board of Directors each season. Dues must be current in order to use the pool facilities. Membership in arrears for 3 consecutive years are terminated without return of any fee.
– The pool is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership. It is managed by a Pool Manager.

CLUB PROPERTY: No member or guest shall remove any article belonging to the pool from the grounds without the Board’s permission. If property is removed, damaged or destroyed, either by a member or their guest, the member will be responsible for all related costs of repair or replacement.
DISCIPLINE: Whenever, in the judgment of the Board of Directors, any member shall have violated any of these rules, the Board is authorized, subject to appeal, to suspend or limit any of the privileges of such member, or to impose such other disciplinary measures as they deem appropriate. Parents are responsible for the conduct of all members of their family and their guests.
AMENDMENTS: The Board of Directors shall have full power to amend these rules at any time by posting them at the pool.
